For clients on a qualified Dataworks support program, the Dataworks HelpNow Remote Diagnostic Service is free of charge. Otherwise, the cost is a low fixed $59 for PCs or notebooks during normal service hours (9-5 central). This base fee covers the Remote Diagnostic Service session as described below. A valid prepaid account or credit card number is required before the remote connection can be started.
We work to diagnose the problem you describe. For 90+% of cases, if possible within the scheduled 30 minutes from the start of the session, we implement the solution for no additional charge than the Remote Diagnostic Service base fee. However, some problems just need a hands-on solution. If the technician determines that the problem requires further onsite or in-lab service, we will credit the paid Remote Diagnostic Service base fee (see above) toward the Dataworks onsite or in-lab service ticket related to the same issue occurring within 5 days. Our physical diagnostic process is more comprehensive, and may be required in certain circumstances. Alternatively, if a remote service solution is possible but will require more than the scheduled 30 minutes, then the technician will ask for your authorization to proceed on time-rate charge basis which is in addition to the base fee.
